George Clooney and his wife, Amal, are taking turns to be with friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber during a very difficult time.
The 65-year-old actor and the lawyer are among a group of friends who are taking shifts to stay with their longtime friends after the passing of their son, Presley, earlier this week.
“George, Amal and a few of their other close friends have been taking shifts staying with the family so they aren’t alone,” a source told People.
“George and Amal joined the family in Los Angeles after learning of Presley’s death,” the source added. “They’re helping with arrangements and whatever else the family needs. George has always been very close with both Kaia and Presley.”
Another source told Page Six this week that George and Amal “are absolutely beside themselves with grief. George is completely shattered by Presley’s death. He’s known him his entire life, and he never imagined things would ever get to this point.”
“He always saw Cindy and Rande as having this beautiful family, and he can’t begin to imagine what they’re going through right now,” the source added.
If you don’t know, George has been friends with Cindy and Rande for decades, and the two guys are even business partners on the Casamigos tequila brand.
Just days before Presley‘s unexpected passing, his sister Kaia mentioned him in a new interview.
While an official cause of death has not been revealed at this time, dispatch calls to the rehab facility where he died reportedly mentioned cardiac arrest and a suspected overdose.
