Sir Elton John, Charli XCX and Troye Sivan are set to perform at London‘s new Apple Music Hall.
Apple confirmed the opening of the state-of-the-art live performance space, located within Battersea Power Station, earlier this week.
Accommodating up to 600 people, the venue opens on Monday, 28 September, with Sir Elton performing on its launch night.
A total of seven further events will run at the space until December, featuring Baby Keem on 2 October, Skye Newman on 7 October and Troye Sivan on 13 October.
They will be followed by Arlo Parks on 22 October, Burna Boy on 29 October, Chase and Status on 26 November, and Charli on 2 December.
Apple said the venue has been designed intentionally to “close the gap between intimacy and production value and allow for an unprecedented level of creative control”.
It said: “Every seat feels close to the performer, yet the infrastructure offers what an artist requires for an arena tour, with a 38ft-wide stage that can be reconfigured for traditional front-facing sets or more in-the-round experiences.”
The venue is also equipped with a 48-speaker spatial sound system positioned all around the audience, so when an artist performs in spatial it allows fans to hear that performance in an “immersive environment”.
Apple has also partnered with independent UK promoter Communion One to support bookings and promotion for Apple Music Hall.
Communion One managing director Mazin Tappuni said: “Apple Music Hall is a fantastic venue, like nothing fans will have ever seen before. The production quality is world class, livestreaming to fans across the world, from a live room where every square foot has the artist and their fans in mind.”
Live events at Apple Music Hall will be powered by UK founded ticketing platform Dice which Apple said was “committed to fair and innovative solutions for fans to access their favourite shows”.
Dice chief commercial officer Andrew Foggin said: “The thought and attention to detail that has gone into every aspect of the venue is clear to see, and is in total alignment with our ethos of ensuring fans have the best possible experience when discovering and attending shows.”
Performances at Apple Music Hall will be livestreamed globally so fans outside London can tune in to the one-time-only shows.
