Despite that moment of disappointment, this Long Island–raised theater kid who moved to Los Angeles at 21 knows financial success is important. “I’ve worked so hard to get to this place, and now I feel like finally, hopefully, people are going to see my vision and trust me to do something very different next and not have to repeat the same things,” he says. “In order to do that, you do need to have success.”
And if there are still doubters, Delevingne has words: “If anyone doesn’t take him seriously, just watch the movie.”
