Our last couple daine posts involved a now-resolved conflict with Bassvictim, but in this post, it’s all love.
We’ve been loving the recent singles from the hyperpop rising star, whose debut album In Endless Awe & Agony is due out in November. Many years ago, we were also loving Martin Solveig and Dragonette’s #1 dance hit “Hello.” Specifically, our founder Scott Lapatine had a deep appreciation for the 2010 track, which cracked his Pazz & Jop singles ballot in 2011. Completing the circle, daine also loves “Hello.”
The Australian radio network Triple J recently welcomed daine to their studio for their Like A Version series, in which artists perform a cover of their choosing. In daine’s case, that song was “Hello.” Check out their rocked-out rendition of the song below, along with a performance of daine’s own “PQC.”
