A marathon runner has shared a £15 sell-out product that he turned to when his ‘knees were destroyed’ saying it offered him ‘almost instant relief.’ Nick Kimberley said he began to develop joint problems in his mid 20s, and started to feel ‘physically vulnerable’ but after finding the product said he felt ‘great afterwards.’

The brand says the ingredient is thought to work by supporting the cushioning and lubrication around joints and muscles.
The product’s Amazon listing claims it ‘eases discomfort’ and it’s said to be popular with active people, gym-goers and new mums alike. Ideal for those experiencing aches in the knees, shoulders, neck or back, it also contains cooling menthol and soothing arnica.
Runner and dancer Nick shared his experience using the product after experiencing discomfort explaining: “My first point of call was paracetamol. I also eased off my marathon training as at first I thought my knee pain could be an injury from that, but it turned out to be nothing to do with running.

“During the height of my marathon training my knee joint pain was becoming more and more of an issue. My worst flare up was about six weeks before I ran the London marathon. I had just finished a 30km long training run and my knees were destroyed; I spent the next couple of days unable to walk due to the pain in my knees.
“I like to think I’m quite a positive person who doesn’t let things like this bother me, but I guess in a way it did knock my confidence. I’ve always been very fit an active since I was young and I’ve often felt really quite invincible, so when I developed this joint pain issue that started to prevent me from training or at times even walking normally, it made me feel physically vulnerable for the first time in my life.”

Someone else said in part of their review that they liked the product’s effect on their knees, writing: “I have been using Celafen Cream for several years now and it certainly helps ease my painful knees.”
It is worth noting that one Amazon shopper deducted stars for an issue with their delivery, commenting: “So far the item seems ok but the issue I had was delivery, it arrived a week later than I was told so I had to visit the post office twice.”
However, final words from Nick read: ” Honestly, I don’t think I could consider doing another marathon without it. It’s now always with my gym bag. I actually carried a tube of it in my belt bag when I ran the London marathon so I could apply it as soon as I finished.”
