Preity Mukhundhan, who recently scored a big hit in Tamil cinema with “Lubber Pandhu”, has landed another major opportunity. The actress, who made her Telugu debut with “Kannappa”, will also be seen opposite Roshan Meka in “Emaindi Emo”, produced by Sithara Entertainments.
She has now been cast as the female lead opposite Dhanush in his 56th film, tentatively referred to as D56. The film officially commenced its shoot today with a traditional pooja ceremony.
D56 is directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, who won attention with “Lubber Pandhu”. The film is jointly produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments and Haritha Lingasamy under Primark Productions.
The shooting began with a special pooja at the Karuppanasamy Temple in Maranadu, Sivaganga district, near Madurai. SJ Suryah and Vadivelu are also part of the cast.
For Preity Mukhundhan, starring opposite a star like Dhanush in her early career is another significant opportunity and marks an important addition to her growing filmography.
