Knowsley Safari, located in Prescot, Merseyside, is home to more than 700 animals, including lions, rhinos, bison, baboons, giraffes, meerkats, tigers, and more. The Foot Safari gives visitors the chance to explore the Tiger Trail, where they may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Amur tigers.
All general admission tickets available are suitable for both adults and children alike, and come with the bonus of granting entry to every activity and ride operating on your selected date. The safari also offers a learning experience for younger visitors, featuring live animal talks and presentations throughout the day.
If you would prefer to visit somewhere different, though, you could head to Blackpool Zoo for as low as £21.99 per adult when booked online. Blackpool Zoo has over 1,000 animals in its care, including meerkats, Brazilian tapir, monkeys, and more.

Visitors who have previously gone to Knowsley Safari had plenty of praise for their experience, with one writing: “I have made several safaris in South Africa and this experience matches it on a hot sunny day. The only difference is the animals look happy and very healthy. A brilliant day was had by all and is one of the best experiences I have had in the UK”
Another added: “We visited yesterday with my 8 yr old daughter and she absolutely loved every minute! The monkeys were hilarious and my daughter to great pleasure in watching them jump around. We were particularly impressed with the level of knowledge and professionalism from the team leading the birds of prey talk at 3:30pm and sea lion talk at 4:30pm. Well done all. We will be back!”

However, one less pleased visitor wrote: “Wow! What a disappointment. Been looking forward to going here for a while. But to be honest it’s a deer park with a few other animals thrown in. The rhinos were lovely to see, and the lions were fine, but that was about it.”
Another added: “Very disappointed if you like different types of deer you will be happy because that’s about all they’ve got. Rhino about 8 of those a few lions which were in an enclosure with out proper gates were the young female guard was standing in the open.”
