In just days, Claudia Winkleman will return to host Celebrity Traitors series two

Fans of Celebrity Traitors won’t have long to wait as the second edition of the popular BBC programme prepares for its highly anticipated comeback. The first series finale saw an impressive 15 million viewers tune in to watch as Chatty Man Alan Carr tricked his fellow celebs into believing he was a faithful, before he broke down in tears and walked away with a massive £87,500 for his chosen charity.

This year will see 21 new celebs join Claudia Winkleman, and head to Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. The stars will be competing in the hopes of winning a major cash prize for a charity of their choice.

From comedians and singers, to actors and national treasures, this season promises to be just as good as the first, if not better. But who exactly are the Traitors and who are the Faithfuls?

When is it on and how do I watch it?

The hugely popular BBC One show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, returns on Thursday, October 1, with an extended opening episode airing at 8pm and finishing at 9.15pm.

Audiences can watch the show twice a week on Thursday and Friday evenings at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Spin-off shows

Viewers will also be able to tune into The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, hosted by Ed Gamble, which returns following the main programme at 9.15pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

In a series first, there is also a completely new special one-off episode titled Traitor or Faithful? Claudia Decides, which will show fans exactly how Claudia chooses her Traitors and decides who will remain Faithful. This will also air on BBC iPlayer on Thursday, October 1.

The famous faces will take part in the ultimate challenge of detection, trust and betrayal, battling to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

This comes after Alan Carr’s triumph in Celebrity Traitors series one last year, where he managed to stay hidden as a Traitor from start to finish, and take home a whopping £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK.
