Nandamuri Balakrishna is gearing up to resume shooting for his ongoing project, “Dada”. The actor recently underwent knee surgery after sustaining an injury during the film’s shoot.
Following the surgery, Balakrishna had to take bed rest as part of his recovery. During this period, he has reportedly gained some weight. His doctors and physiotherapist have so far been focused on his recovery and helping him return to his normal routine. He is now expected to work on getting back in shape before resuming the shoot.
Recent pictures of Balakrishna have led to concern among some fans. However, industry sources say the actor has already started following a special diet as part of his fitness routine. Getting back to his earlier shape will take some time.
There is also a possibility that the shooting schedule could be affected if Balakrishna needs more time before he can resume work.
“Dada” is directed by Gopichand Malineni and marks his second collaboration with Balakrishna after the successful “Veera Simha Reddy”. Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead.
The makers have announced December 24, 2026 as the release date. Whether the team can complete the shooting as planned and meet the release date remains to be seen.
