With 12 weeks to Christmas, time to work out which beauty advent calendar to order before they sell out is quickly dwindling. Thankfully, as someone who’s been unboxing festive beauty countdowns for four years, I can usually spot a cracker a mile away – and Boots’ 24 Days of Luxe Beauty Advent Calendar is among the top picks for 2026.
Priced at £150, the calendar sits neatly between the more budget-friendly options, such as M&S and Glossybox, which come in at under £100, and the considerably more premium countdowns from Space NK or Liberty, which are more than £250. It packs an impressive value of nearly £710, meaning customers save around £560 on the contents.
Regarding the number of products, it may not rival Sephora’s 40-plus items, but Boots has certainly not cut corners. There are 27 products, 19 of which are full-sized, accounting for roughly 70% of the entire haul, with a great mix of classic brands, trending names and newcomers alike.
The contents cover everything from skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance and bodycare. For those who lean more towards skincare or fragrance specifically, Boots has also launched two dedicated calendars for 2026, retailing at £70 and £90 respectively, reports the Mirror. However, for those who firmly believe variety is the spice of life, the 24-day luxury offering could prove to be a superb choice.
There are some outstanding beauty names featured inside. The makeup selection includes Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Setting Spray, which still feels fresh following its 2026 launch, the universally flattering NARS ‘ The Multiple in Orgasm Crave, and an Iconic London multi-use palette that feels like six products in one.

Back for 2026 and bigger, better and more luxurious than ever, the Boots Premium Beauty Advent Calendar is packed with 27 incredible beauty treats from some of the world’s most-loved brands. Favourites from Sol De Janeiro, Rituals and Huda Beauty, classics from Clinique, Estee Lauder, NARS and Benefit and exciting beauty treats from Amika, Color Wow and Fenty, plus so many more!
Benefit’s Badgal Bang! Mascara ranks amongst the finest for delivering fuller, longer lashes, while the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer Mini 10ml presents a brilliant opportunity to trial the formula before committing to the full-sized version.
There’s also a £23 mini Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra Blur, which happens to be my all-time favourite setting powder. Nothing else comes close. It keeps makeup firmly in place without any cakey feeling, delivering a soft-focus finish while preserving that natural dewiness I love on my skin. While I have absolutely no objections to seeing this included in the calendar, it did appear last year, too, so returning customers may have mixed feelings about it.
It is worth noting that there is a considerable number of lip products included in the calendar, ranging from the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Stix to a Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, plus a MAC lip pencil and lipstick – which, for those not particularly keen on lip products, may feel somewhat excessive.
There is also a degree of repetition within the haircare category, with two separate hair masks from Wella and Amika. While both will certainly get used, it might have been preferable to see a hair oil or dry shampoo included to better round out the routine.
Now, let’s turn to the real showstoppers, because several products in this calendar are worth £50 or more on their own. The £65 Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt Eye Cream is the most striking example. Formulated to tackle fine lines and dark circles beneath the eyes, it harnesses the brand’s legendary Advanced Night Repair technology.
Equally impressive is the £50 Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum, another particularly compelling choice, designed to boost radiance and address pigmentation without relying on Vitamin C.
Some may not want to spend £150 on an advent calendar, though, so for those seeking a slightly more budget-friendly alternative that still delivers on brand prestige, I’d suggest the Glossybox haul. The £90 calendar boasts a value of £645 and features an impressive roster of names such as Huda, Medik8 and Rodial, while balancing these out with more accessible brands like Aveeno and The Beauty Crop.
Meanwhile, the OK! Beauty Box Advent Calendar, developed in partnership with MUA Hannah Martin, contains 25 products – 22 of which are full-size. Priced at £109 but valued at over £605, it’s brimming with makeup, skincare, fragrance, haircare, nail care, wellbeing products and beauty tools, including a luxury eye cream worth more than £145.
Back at Boots, their £150 countdown has been attracting nothing but glowing five-star reviews from customers, suggesting it could well justify the outlay. One shopper remarked: “Everything in it is so good and so worth the price, only one thing that isn’t my fave, but everything else is amazing.”
Another commented: “There is a good mix of haircare, bodycare, makeup, skincare, and fragrance from popular brands – probably the best balance yet – my favourite calendar from them so far. The items are individually packaged, meaning you can put aside the bits that you think that you wouldn’t use, so that you can then regift them to someone else for Christmas; that way, you are not only treating yourself with this calendar, but you are also Christmas shopping for other people. My logic is sound.”
One mentioned they’d have liked to see another fragrance but were otherwise very impressed, writing: “This calendar is the best out of all beauty calendars so far. There is something for every occasion. I was absolutely blown away. The cost is unbelievable compared to other calendars. Could do with another fragrance though, but overall excellent value and quality.”
One further reviewer commented: “Loved what I received in this Advent calendar this year, so many products I can use. The shades are really nice. High quality products I feel that is better than last years. Love being able to try products and brands that I probably wouldn’t purchase otherwise.”
