Big Brother fans are convinced they’ve now spotted the series winner.
The ITV2 reality series is now in its third week and tensions are sky-high. While personality clashes are a staple of the hit show, the latest House of Nothing twist has seen the housemates lose their basic creature comforts such as beds and even hot water which has only added fuel to the fire.
The have been participating in a range of tasks this week in order to win back their items, including in tonight’s episode (September 29) where a number of the housemates had to build flat-pack furniture in order to finally win back their beds.
Last night Frankie in particular reached breaking point and in a fit of rage ripped apart the ITV set in order to retrieve his confiscated toothbrush. In the hours leading up to the incident he had confessed he was feeling down and missed his partner on the outside.
Meanwhile Rochelle was close to tears tonight after attempting to locate ‘missing’ items in the house such as her silk pillowcase and Dettol spray, leading Philip to reassure her it was “no big deal.”
“You’re going to make yourself sick you really are, don’t worry about it,” he said in an attempt to reassure her, before warning her that she was bringing her fellow housemates down.
Despite her frequent mood swings and intense reactions to small inconveniences, many viewers have already crowned Rochelle as their winner.
“An actual ICON. Winner for sure,” one confident viewer penned, as another echoed: “Rochelle is so easily my winner she’s f****** hilarious.”
“Ohhhh I just love her,” a third added, as yet another viewer remarked: “She’s just iconic! I love her. If she wasn’t there it would be a very boring house!”
Another supporter shared: “Complain all you want, and threaten to get them out in the next eviction, but I will never vote out Rochelle or Johanne! Regardless them being wrong or right in whatever situation… They are carrying the show. Just wondering if they never get tired from the screaming!”
While she has a growing fanbase, her actions have proven divisive with many accusing her of copying the mannerisms of the late Big Brother star Nikki Grahame, especially in the Diary Room.
“Nahhh, she is acting! wannabe Nikki Grahame! Nikki was iconic,” one remarked. Another sceptical viewer commented: “I just feel like this is an act. It just doesn’t feel genuine to me that she is that way at home.” A third asked: “Why is she trying to be like Nikki Grahame?”
Big Brother airs Sunday to Thursday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
