Filmmaker Tyler Perry is continuing to expand his creative pipeline at Netflix with a new project. I Love Boosters star Taylour Paige has officially joined the cast alongside Emily in Paris, adding more star power to Perry’s upcoming movie for the platform.
According to Deadline, Paige and Laviscount are set to lead Perry’s upcoming feature, Confabulation, alongside Shamier Anderson. The project falls under Perry’s ongoing creative partnership with Netflix, where he produces, writes, and directs exclusive series and feature films.
Apart from I Love Boosters, Paige’s acting credits include It: Welcome to Derry, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, The Baxters, Astra, and Magazine Dreams. Laviscount is popularly known for his role as Alfie in Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris.
The actor’s other credits include The Bye Bye Man, People We Meet on Vacation, Tinsel Town, and Snatch. Anderson is best known for John Wick: Chapter 4, Invasion, Tin Soldier, The Luckiest Man in America, and Stowaway.
What is Tyler Perry‘s Confabulation movie about?
Perry’s Confabulation will be a thriller that follows a firefighter haunted by his past and struggling with reality as he risks everything to rescue his high school sweetheart from her powerful husband. However, the truth unravels in a shocking twist, leaving him questioning what is real and what is a confabulation.
As stated above, the movie will be Perry’s new project with Netflix, after his recently released feature, Why Did I Get Married Again? The director also wrote the movie and is set to produce alongside Angi Bones and Tony L. Strickland.
The new additions join the previously announced supporting cast, which includes Nadine Ellis, Peter Parros, Najah Bradley, Mikeal Dwayne Griggs, Jenna Nolen, Michelle Núñez, Colin McCalla, and Shelley Robertson.
Confabulation is still in production, and as of now, no release date or window has been shared yet.
