‘When Carole filmed with us, she always acted like, you know, she wasn’t in 100 percent,’ Sonja said during an appearance on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast.
Carole Radziwill’s former Real Housewives of New York City co-stars are weighing in on her Bravo return.
Eight years after quitting the show, the one-time Housewife has stepped back into the world of reality TV in 2026, rejoining the cast of a rebooted RHONY for season 16. The move came a surprise to some of her former castmates.
Sonja Morgan and Luanna de Lesseps were guests on the latest episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. The pair – who are set to star in E!’s new show The Golden Life, which premieres in October – said they didn’t expect the former journalist to agree to step back in front of the cameras.
“I was surprised because when Carole filmed with us, she always acted like, you know, she wasn’t in 100 percent,” Sonja said.
“She was always like, ‘Well, this is a bit beneath me.’ You know, she always gave that air. And then when she decided to do that after so much time off, I was shocked,” she continued. “But I did hear through the grapevine that she’s been a good addition.”
Neither Sonja nor Luann are closing following the next generation of New York City Housewives, they said.
“I’m not [watching it], you know, I catch it here and there and you listen,” Luann said. “I think that we have very big shoes to fill and I think they’re different women. And you know, there’s room for all of us. So, you know, we wish them the best.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
