Amitabh Bachchan suffered a minor knee injury after slipping and falling on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18. The 83-year-old actor injured his left knee during the shoot.
As a result, Bachchan chose to sit rather than deliver his traditional opening monologue standing at the centre of the stage, saying he was experiencing “a little bit of difficulty standing up”.
The studio audience gasped in concern, but Bachchan quickly reassured them that the injury was not serious. He said he would continue to stand up to host the contestants as the game progressed. Bachchan said, “It’s part and parcel of old age. Injuries get amplified, healing takes time. I am lucky to still be on my feet.”
