- Alison Hammond rushed off This Morning live on air when presenting Friday’s show with Dermot O’Leary.
- During a conversation with a caller, it sounded as though Alison had rushed out of the studio, and viewers quickly voiced their concerns on social media. One wrote: “What on earth has happened with Alison? Hope she’s okay.”Another said: “I mean, I don’t know about anyone else, but I just can’t concentrate on this phone-in now.” “Is Alison okay??” another commented.
- After This Morning returned from a break, Dermot addressed Alison’s absence from the show. He told viewers, “Welcome back to This Morning, Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she’s just had to duck out. Hopefully she’ll be back.”
- Dermot later told viewers that she would not be returning, saying: “Ali’s feeling a little unwell, so I’ll be here for the rest of the show.”
- Dermot continued with the rest of the show himself and Alison is yet to address her absence.
