Bootie Brown has dropped his latest track, ‘2 Get 2 You’.
Best known as a founding member of The Pharcyde, the three-time Grammy-nominated artist teams up with Les Lockheart for a groove-laden party-starter. As a unit, the pair piece together a club-inflected offering that takes cues from hip-hop and house, speaking to the lengths men will go to capture one’s attention.
Over a decades-deep career, Bootie Brown has asserted himself as a collaborative force who drives the alternative forward. Currently on tour with the Gorillaz, the artist navigates an all-go schedule, while making room for fresh, left-field sounds in the studio.
Bringing listeners into the track’s creative process, Brown shares:
“I host a show called OrganicBeat Session on PharcydeTV, and Les Lockheart is one of many talented beatmakers who are showcased on the stream. I heard this track and knew I could create something special with it. I have been working on it for some time now, and it’s ready for me to share with the people.”
