Strictly week 2 leaderboard revealed as viewers predict first star to be axed

Strictly Come Dancing’s second week saw leaderboard changes after a number of impressive displays, but fans are concerned for the future of one star

Saturday Night watching Strictly, who cares what scorecard we see! This week’s Movie Night offering saw the famous faces foxtrot to Beauty and the Beast, and Waltz around the Ratatouille kitchen.

But how did the official judges scores compare to last week? At the end of the second week, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas ‘ scores were combined with their thoughts from last week – and there’s been significant change in the leaderboard.

Is your favourite flying high, or propping up the table and at risk of being booted with a hop skip and a jump? Here is the latest scores as they stand before the all-important viewers’ votes are added to the mix.

Delta and Kai are leading the way with 59 points. That is an impressive four points off their closest competition – a tie between Graeme and Lauren and Lacey and Vito, with both pairs having a combined total of 55 from two weeks.

A point behind on 54 is John and Katya, who are closely followed by Bethany and Nancy on 53. With a slightly wider gap, Tabby and Mark are in fifth place with a score of 50, while Cach and Maddie’s 29 this week fired them up the leaderboard. They currently have a total of 49.

Dani and Nikita have kept their scores on par and are on 45 points, while in eighth spot is Jaime and Carlos with 42. Ninth spot sees Shaun and Alexis siting with 40, before joint 10th is Lawrence and Jowita and Sarah and Julian, with both pairings currently having a score of 39.

Will and Dianne have 37, before Chris and Amy, who are struggling in 12th with 33 points. Sitting in last spot is Melanie and Aljaz, who matched their lowly score last week of 15 with the same again.

And while the public could see the table turned on its head and, many viewers can’t see the Gavin & Stacey star avoiding the dance off.

One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, said: “Shaun was better this week. Chris is definitely in the bottom – with either Shaun or Melanie I think #Strictly”

A second added: “I liked both dances but my guesses are Melanie and Chris will be in the dance off.” And a third agreed, saying: “LOVED tonight’s #Strictly. themed weeks arnt my fav but really enjoyed it!!

“i’ve voted for Will cause im worried for him. My prediction of bottom 2 is Chris & Melanie. But i don’t want anyone to go!! Shaun saved himself by having an upbeat number & going last.”

But another pleaded with the public to save her, saying: “Melanie can’t go so soon!. Need to get voting. #Strictly” And another had the same feeling, saying: “Voted Bethany, Will, Melanie and Shaun needs a little extra push. #Strictly”
