Kimberly J Brown is opening up about her time with Debbie Reynolds.
The 41-year-old actress and the late star played granddaughter and grandmother in the first three Halloweentown movies, which aired on Disney Channel.
In a new interview, Kimberly shared that she learned “so much” from Debbie during their time working together, and revealed what the best lesson she learned was.
“She imparted so much wisdom verbally, like with purpose, and also subconsciously,” she told People.
“And one of the biggest things she taught me, or impressed upon me, I think, was that it’s such a gift to be able to perform for people and make people happy through what you do,” Kimberly added. “And I think that really got impressed upon me at a young age, and so I’ve tried to always remember that.”
Kimberly even said that while filming, she and Debbie would often have “giggling fits at 3 am,” noting her late co-star “just had the best personality.”
“Anytime there needed to be more energy on set, she was the first one to step up and dance or tell jokes and get the energy going,” she continued.
“And she just always told such funny stories. Usually they were self-deprecating about her life or her marriages and her career. It was so awesome to see such a legendary, famous woman that had earned that status — but you would never know it talking to her. She was the most down-to-earth and just loved everybody,” Kimberly remembered.
If you recall, on the second movie, Kimberly met her co-star Daniel Kountz, who she reconnected with years later. They got married in 2024!
