Families can experience interactive activities on selected days during October half-term
The “world’s largest floating book fair” is set to arrive in Liverpool this month. People may remember when the Logos II ship visited the city back in 2005, welcoming thousands of visitors up the gangways. Now, her sister ship, Logos Hope, is set to welcome visitors at Liverpool’s Cruise Port from Friday, October 23 until Thursday, November 5.
GBA Ships, a non-profit faith-based organisation who operates the ship, claims it is the largest floating book fair. Visitors will have access to a selection of over 5,000 book titles, curated to suit a wide range of interests and age groups.
Topics cover children’s literature, science and technology, arts and cookery, faith, languages, and personal development, making the bookfair a destination for both leisure and learning.
Before becoming a floating book fair, Logos Hope was a car ferry operating in Europe. Built in 1973, she still has the original 53-year-old engines and life boats.
Since beginning operations as Logos Hope in 2009, she has welcomed millions of visitors from around the world and has travelled to over 150 countries and territories.
The ship’s international crew consists of volunteers from over 60 nations, who are motivated by their faith to serve together in bringing literature, educational resources, practical assistance and encouragement to communities worldwide.

The ship will be open to visitors from 10am to 10pm on Tuesday to Saturday, while she will welcome visitors from 1pm to 10pm on Sundays. Logos Hope will be closed on Mondays and Thursday, October 29.
There will be a £1 entry fee per person and no advance booking is required. Free entrance is permitted to people under 12 and over 65-years-old.
Family days are scheduled to take place on October 25 and 28, featuring interactive activities.
