Kim Kardashian is enjoying a whirlwind romance with Lewis Hamilton. While the couple seems to be hitting it off on date nights and at events, the relationship didn’t come easily for the reality TV star. Instead, she had to heal for about five years after her split from Kanye West.
Kardashian and West were married for several years and share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Once known as the “It” couple of pop culture, the two parted ways when the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star filed for divorce in 2021. Their divorce was finalized in 2022, and the 45-year-old mostly stayed away from dating.
According to the Sunday Times, Kardashian revealed the reason why she stayed single for a long time after her divorce. The SKIMS founder said, “I was really single for five years. And that felt great.” While she did not have any man in her life, she spent time with her kids.
Kardashian revealed that she did not miss out on anything. She said, “I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush. Like, I really didn’t feel empty.” The beauty mogul confirmed that she truly needed to take some time for herself at the time.
“I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself, I wasn’t ready to open up. I really wasn’t even thinking about it,” Kardashian added. She also admitted, “The universe works in your favour when you just allow it to.”
Ahead of dating Hamilton, Kardashian had a short-lived romance with Pete Davidson in 2021. Their relationship was often targeted by West in public. Eventually, the two called it off in August 2022.
The beauty mogul began dating her Hamilton earlier this year. When asked whether she wanted to comment on her current relationship, she simply said, “In the most respectful way, I’d probably rather not.”
Both Kardashian and Hamilton rarely speak about one another in public. However, they have been teasing details about their relationship with their fans via social media. The two often share photo dumps featuring their PDA-filled posts on Instagram.
Kardashian shared glimpses of her date night with the F1 driver in Paris. She wore a gold halterneck dress with a plunging neckline, while Hamilton donned a stylish outfit with a stack of diamond-studded chains. The couple shared a kiss on a boat in one of the pictures.
On the other hand, Hamilton shared pictures from a rather adventurous time with Kardashian. The two posed for a selfie while riding dirty lime bikes. Their fans are elated to see them together as one of them wrote, “OMG, I’M SO HAPPY THAT MY TWO FAVORITE UNIVERSES HAVE COLLIDED.” Another penned, “Kim looks like she found her Prince.”
Reports revealed that the two may want to expand their family over time. According to Us Weekly, an insider said, “They are really in love. Kim may want to have more kids with Lewis.” They added that both Kardashian and Hamilton “get each other’s quirk.” “She is really happy with him,” the source claimed. Besides the pair, their family and friends are also reportedly happy to see them together.
