Taskmaster is heading out on stage, with its first-ever UK live show confirmed for Manchester.
Greg Davies, the show’s host, and his assistant Alex Horne will perform at the AO Arena on 26 May next year. A second date follows at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on 22 June.
The production, titled Taskmaster Live On Stage, will feature special guests as contestants. The remaining contestant places will be up for grabs from the audience.
Davies said: “I am thrilled that my tiny assistant and I are to bring Taskmaster to such illustrious venues. Whilst on one hand it feels daunting, on the other it feels like destiny.
“Rest assured my judgements will remain even-handed, and every effort will be made for everyone to have a good time, except Alex.”

Show creator Horne added: “This is one of the maddest moments of my life. For me the Hollywood Bowl means Monty Python and the Manchester Arena means Oasis.
“Now it’s our turn?! Luckily I’m with my biggest friend Greg, so I’m going to be so brave.”
The live format has already been tested in America, where Taskmaster Live On Stage debuted earlier this year. Tickets for that run sold out in 13 minutes. Davies and Horne were joined there by comedians John Oliver, Seth Meyers, Lisa Gilrow and Jason Manztoukas as special guest contestants.
Tickets for the new dates will be released for pre-sale exclusively on the Taskmaster mailing list on October 14. General sale follows on October 16.
The TV series, which premiered in 2015, sees a panel of five celebrities take part in various challenges, with points awarded by the taskmaster. The 22nd series began airing in September 2026.
Taskmaster Live On Stage will arrive at the AO Arena on May 26, with the Los Angeles show following at The Hollywood Bowl on June 22.
Davies and Horne will front both performances, with special guests and audience members making up the contestant line-up.
Pre-sale tickets open on October 14 via the Taskmaster mailing list, ahead of general sale on October 16.
The Manchester date will be the show’s first-ever UK live performance.
