The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days bonanza starts on October 6 and offers 48 hours of incredible deals

Amazon’s popular Prime Big Deal Days sale is almost here, with the two-day shopping event set to kick off tomorrow, October 6. Running until October 7, the seasonal sale is expected to bring discounts across everything from electricals and beauty buys to fashion, homeware, toys and everyday essentials.
Shoppers can expect offers on big-name brands making it a good opportunity to pick up some of those more expensive items for less. With Christmas shopping already on the horizon, the event could also be a chance to get ahead before the Black Friday sales arrive later in the year.
Amazon is expected to add new offers throughout the event, so the deals available could change from one hour to the next. There will also be limited-time ‘Lightning Deals‘ to look out for, with some discounts available only while stocks last, meaning bargain hunters may need to act quickly.
Prime Big Deal Days is exclusive to Prime members, with new customers able to try Amazon Prime for free for 30 days before paying £8.99 a month, while members can also enjoy benefits including fast, free delivery on millions of eligible items and exclusive deals. Other perks include access to Prime Video, ad-free listening to millions of songs and podcasts with Amazon Music, a selection of eBooks and audiobooks, and free games with Amazon Luna.
To help fellow shoppers find the best deals, I’ve been scouring Amazon for five early deals worth knowing about, giving shoppers a head start on some of the offers they could snap up when the event gets underway.

If you can’t find what you are looking for Amazon, online retailer Debenhams has launched it’s own October sale. Savvy shoppers can save up to 80% on home, 70% on fashion and 50% on shoes and boots. There are also deals to be found on beauty, make and up and fragrance deals ahead of the Christmas shopping season.
Elsewhere at Next, the autumn Clearance Sale offers up to 70% off across all departments including women, men, children and home. Exclusive deals can be found online even when the instore sale has ended.
Ring Battery Video Doorbell & Ring Indoor Camera (Was £119.98, now £39.99)
Amazon shoppers can currently pick up the all-new Ring Battery Video Doorbell bundled with a Ring Indoor Camera, giving you a way to keep an eye on both your doorstep and inside your home from the Ring app. The doorbell records in sharp Retinal 2K with up to 6x zoom, while the indoor camera offers 1080p HD Live View, making it easy to check in on everything from deliveries to pets.
The Ring bundle has been slashed from £199.99 to £39.99, giving shoppers a huge 80% saving. That means you can pick up both the Battery Video Doorbell and Indoor Camera for £160 less than the original price.
The bundle also comes with useful features including colour night vision, two-way talk and privacy controls, while the battery-powered doorbell can be removed and recharged via USB-C. Popular with Amazon customers, buyers have praised its picture quality, straightforward setup and peace of mind when they’re away from home.

As part of the Prime Day deals, the Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet has 50% off, reduced from £149.99 to £74.99.
The easy to use tablet features a 10.1-inch Full HD display, up to 13 hours of battery life and 3GB RAM, making it ideal for streaming, gaming, reading and browsing. It also has 32GB or 64GB storage, expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card, plus a 5MP front camera for video calls.
Shoppers looking to take advantage of the sales to pick up a new tablet could also consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ (from £164.99), which is a good option for streaming and everyday use, and the Lenovo Tab M11 (£198), which offers a larger display and is well suited to entertainment, browsing and light productivity.
Amazon customers who have already snapped up the art of the Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet have given it an impressive 4.5 out of five-star rating across thousands of reviews. Buyers praised the quality, graphics and memory with one saying: “The colours are so crisp and sharp and the screen size is nice and large so it’s perfect for reading my books or watching things. Amazon is known for cutting the price of fragrance and beauty favourites during its big sale events, making Prime Big Deal Days a good time to pick up everything from perfumes to haircare and skincare. With Christmas shopping season now getting closer, these discounts are also a chance to get gifts sorted early or treat yourself to a little luxury for less.
Calvin Klein CK One is a classic unisex fragrance, making it a versatile choice whether you’re shopping for yourself or looking for a Christmas gift. Its fresh citrus profile combines green tea, bergamot and cardamom with floral notes, musk and amber for a clean, refreshing scent that’s easy to wear every day.
Amazon shoppers have praised CK One for its fresh, clean and timeless unisex scent, with one reviewer calling it a “genuine unisex scent” that has stood the test of time. Prime Day can be a great time to stock up on beauty essentials and electricals, with big-name products often reduced to more tempting prices. It’s also a handy opportunity to get a head start on Christmas shopping, whether you’re looking for a gift for someone special or a little luxury to treat yourself.
The Shark FlexStyle 5-in-1 Air Styler & Hair Dryer is a versatile multi-styler that switches from a hairdryer to a range of styling tools, with auto-wrap curlers, an oval brush and a FrizzFighter attachment for smoothing flyaways.
