Ocean Bottle bids farewell to the heat with a special autumn collection

Bottles takes the name and mood from the pull of late-autumn light over changeable, open terrain

An eco-friendly drinkware brand has released a collection of new colours for the autumn – but with the same promise to help clean up the world’s oceans with every bottle it sells.

Ocean Bottle has launched Further Afield – a limited-edition range inspired by the changing seasons across the company’s Peak collection.

The Peak bottles are made from 90% recycled stainless steel and are well-designed, durable and slim enough to fit in your car’s cup holder – which has caught me out before.

It will keep a cold drink cool for 15 hours, an iced drink for 30 hours, and a hot beverage hot for seven hours. It also kept fizzy drinks fizzy, which is not always the case for similar bottles.

You do have to pay a premium price for a bottle. But they are built to last. So you won’t have to be looking for another one after a couple of years. The collection features Peak Original and GO!, sized at 710ml, and Peak Brew at 590ml.

The collection takes its name and mood from the pull of late-autumn light over changeable, open terrain. Where colder months often mean hunkering down, F urther Afield is built around the opposite idea : that autumn and winter are seasons for pushing further, not retreating – whether that’s an extra mile on a familiar walk or a route not yet explored.

The colours

  • Canyon Brown is reminiscent of layers of earth and minerals, shaped by time, wind and water.
  • Moss Green reminds you of shaded forest floors giving way to fresh woodland growth.
  • Fjord Teal is inspired by deep, cool water beneath a sky closing in.
  • Desert Ochre is dunes at dusk, sunbaked and windswept.
  • Tundra Green – think salt-swept grasses catching the last of the light.

Founded in London in 2018, Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 11.4kg of plastic, the equivalent weight of 1,000 plastic bottles, with every purchase. So far, the company has backed the collection of the equivalent of more than two billion plastic bottles.
