Stockholm’s Clutter Conjure Indie Rock Chaos On Debut Album ‘Sugar Rush’ | News

Swedish breakouts Clutter have shared their debut album ‘Sugar Rush’ in full.

The band are scarcely old enough to enter venues legally, a product of Stockholm’s intense DIY community. The four-some – Hilda Ander(vocals/guitar/bass), Emma French (vocals/guitar/bass), Ove Jerndal (guitar) and Ville Scott (drums) – built attention locally with their seismic shows, before a flurry of releases caught our ear.

Cutting their teeth at DIY shows in youth centres around Stockholm, the energy on Clutter’s debut album ‘Sugar Rush’ doesn’t dim for a second. Reminiscent of Husker Du and prime Sonic Youth in places, you can also hear aspects of Hinds’ garage punk clatter in there – they’ve even shared a stage with the Spanish band.

Out now via PNKSLM Recordings, the record follows high profile slots at Pitchfork Music Festival London and Eurosonic Noorderslag.

Tune in now.
