A few days ago, there were reports suggesting that Rajinikanth and the Jailer 2 team were divided over a violent sequence. Buzz online stated that Rajini wanted a U/A certificate by opting to remove the said sequence, while Nelson was against it.
The film has now received a U/A 16+ certificate from the censor board, meaning it contains mild violence. The approved runtime is 165 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes), which is understandable for a film with a massive cast. If the story and screenplay are interesting, then the duration is not an issue at all. Everything depends on Nelson now.
Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mirnaa, Ramya Krishnan, Mithun Chakraborty, and others will be seen in vital roles, while the film gets an extra push with the cameos of Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vijay Sethupathi.
