Woman’s under eyes ‘smooth’ after waiting for Prime Day to get patches for 45p

“Awesome eye masks. I love these eye masks, I always wait for Prime Day and Black Friday so I can get a full box of 20”

Beauty enthusiasts seeking to revive tired-looking eyes can get their hands on a pack of ‘awesome’ gold under-eye patches for under £20. The grace and stella Under Eye Gel Patches are available for £14.20 on Amazon for Prime Day, with more than 4,000 sold in the past month alone.

The Amazon Prime Day deal beats the price the patches were on previous days, where we spotted they were £19.95 on Amazon. Shoppers will have to be a member of Amazon Prime to take advantage of the deal, but those not can sign up for a free 30 day trial here.

What do they do?

Infused with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and chondrus crispus powder, the gold under-eye patches feature a hydrating formula designed to leave the delicate skin beneath the eyes looking smoother and more refreshed. With the festive party season fast approaching, they could prove particularly useful, offering a cooling effect that helps diminish the appearance of puffiness and under-eye bags.

The formula is vegan and free from parabens and sulphates, making the patches gentle enough for those with sensitive skin. Amazon states that the eye masks have been used by a number of celebrities, including Jessica Alba, Leona Lewis, Ayra Starr and Selling Sunset star Emma Hernan.

Alternative eye patches

Several other options are also available, including 48 pairs of the gold eye masks for £18, or six pairs in blue for £7.55. Alternatively, the NIP+FAB Hyaluronic Fix Extreme4 Hydration Jelly Eye Patches are available for £19.95 from Sephora. Coming with 20 pairs, this product harnesses hyaluronic acid to deliver ‘deep-down hydration’, reports the Mirror.

Consumer feedback

The grace and stella Under Eye Gel Patches have received glowing reviews from Amazon shoppers. One customer said: “These under-eye masks are a great pick-me-up! They feel cool and soothing on application, help reduce puffiness, and make dark circles look less noticeable. After using them, my under-eye area felt hydrated and smoother, perfect for tired mornings or before a night out.”

Another added: “Awesome eye masks. I love these eye masks, I always wait for Prime Day and Black Friday so I can get a full box of 20! I have all of them now as my blue ones came this morning and were straight on my face. These blue ones are so much softer than others and squishy.

“I literally do these masks everyday depending on what I need. They slip a little at first but once they bed in I can forget I have them on. Lovely and due to the brand, I know exactly what’s in them so I know it’s kind to eyes.”

A third buyer wrote: “Very pleased with this product. It refreshes my eyes and smooths the skin. It is best when kept in the fridge. I would recommend it.”

Not all shoppers were entirely convinced, however, with one stating: “Love the patches, giving four stars only because they do not stay well. Keep sliding off the under eye area, which is annoying, but I like the effects of them.”

While another described them as ‘hydrating and plumping’, they noted as part of a lengthier review: “These are comfortable to wear, although they do have a tendency to slowly slide down your face until some of the serum has been absorbed by the under eye.”

The grace and stella Under Eye Gel Patches can be purchased from Amazon.
