Impatiently awaited ever since their Teledevotion – Live Demos EP dropped more than a year ago, Tāmaki Makaurau art punk upstarts Model‘s debut batch of studio recordings A Child Swimming sticks the landing for sure. The latest release from T & M — who have been assembling quite the roster — A Child Swimming boasts four snarling and snotty tunes including antisocial SRN hit ‘Hard to be Around’, all gloriously drenched in distortion and maddening hooks, as Model rattle off their droll tales of unglamorous everyday living.
Model declare “Good is now fucken bad” in sweary second track ‘Pigs’ and about bloody time too. Now also available on limited edition compact disc, don’t miss the rising group letting rip with special guests on their EP release tour all around Te Ika-a-Māui, starting this Friday at Mercury Alleyway…
