Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has cemented its superhit status at the box office with a strong second weekend performance, while Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947 is one of the biggest disasters of 2026.

After enjoying a fantastic first week at the box office, when it scored a comfortable century and then some more, Awarapan 2 continues its superb run at the box office.
In its second weekend, the Emraan Hashmi starrer collected Rs 25 crore (Rs 250 million), allowing its superhit status to get further consolidated. It also shows how well it has been received by the audience.
Awarapan 2‘s Continued Success
With its 10-day total collections at Rs 143 crore* (Rs 1.43 billion), Awarapan 2 will now go past Rs 150 crore (Rs 1.5 billion) by the time Toxic arrives on Wednesday.
It will then face a huge reduction in screens and shows, thanks to the Yash biggie but still, a lifetime collection in the range of Rs 160 crore to Rs 165 crore (Rs 1.6 billion to Rs 1.65 billion) will make it one of the biggest successes of the year after Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Border 2.
Batwara 1947‘s Disastrous Performance

Meanwhile, after leading the show in the superhit Border 2, Sunny Deol has delivered a huge disaster with Batwara 1947. Audiences just didn’t step into theatres to watch this Rajkumar Santoshi directorial, produced by Aamir Khan.
If the opening week was disastrous enough, the second weekend was a total washout with the film struggling to add even Rs 3 crore (Rs 30 million) to its collections.
The total now stands at Rs 36 crore (Rs 360 million), and the film will struggle to have even reach a lifetime collections of Rs 40 crore (Rs 400 million).
The first day collections of Border 2 were Rs 32.10 crore (Rs 321 million), and that was the entire first week number of Batwara 1947. That shows the scale of the latter’s complete rejection at the box office.
