New Doctor Who Comic Series Brings The Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler Back Together
On September 1, 2026, Panini Comics will release a new series entitled Doctor Who Adventures: Save the Humans! This comic release will feature familiar stories of Doctor Who’s Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler pulled directly from Doctor Who Adventures magazine, which was a British children’s magazine that was originally published in 2006 and ran for nearly 400 issues.
The comic collection will be a partnership between Panini Comics, an Italian comic book publisher, and the BBC, the network that originally aired the Doctor Who show. A full list of stories that will be compiled in Doctor Who Adventures: Save the Humans! has been released, and it includes Which Switch?, Mirror Image, Under the Volcano, The Germ War, Warfreekz!, A Delicate Operation, Blood and Tears, Fried Death, Bizarre Zero, Save the Humans!, Bat Attack!, The Battle of Reading Gaol, Triskaidekaphobia, Smart Bombs, and Pinball Wizard.

Additionally, a talented team of writers and illustrators has been assembled to bring the project to life, including names such as letterer Paul Lang, artists Adrian Salmon and John Ross, and writers Alan Barnes, Davey Moore, Jacqueline Rayner, Michael Stevens, and Si Spencer, to name a few. These comics are directly based on David Tennant and Billie Piper’s versions of the adored characters, which will surely give readers nostalgia for one of the best eras of Doctor Who. This new series will allow Tennant and Piper’s Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler to capture the hearts of a new generation of fans, just as they did in the 2000s.
Fifteen stories total will be included in Doctor Who Adventures: Save the Humans!, and the collection will be available for purchase on Sept. 1.
