Dulquer Salmaan’s much-awaited Malayalam action thriller “I’m Game” has reportedly been postponed from its August 20 release date. The film was originally scheduled to arrive during the Onam season, but the makers are now said to be looking for a better release window.
The decision is reportedly aimed at avoiding a crowded release period. “I’m Game” was scheduled to hit screens between Suriya starrer “Vishwanath and Sons” and Yash’s “Toxic,” which are expected to occupy significant screen space and audience attention.
The team is also said to be unhappy with the promotional campaign so far and wants to return with a more aggressive promotional strategy.
The makers are now reportedly considering November for the film’s release. However, an official new release date is yet to be announced.
I’m Game is directed by Nahas Hidhayath, who made his debut with the action film RDX. The film marks Dulquer Salmaan’s return to Malayalam cinema after King of Kotha. Dulquer is also co-producing the project through Wayfarer Films.
The film features an ensemble cast including Samyuktha Viswanathan and Kayadu Lohar. Jakes Bejoy is composing the music.
