Sutton Coldfield now has more than 130 new homes after a £35.9 million project completed this week.
Coles House and Mill Place saw 85 social rent and 52 older person’s shared ownership apartments for people aged over 55 developed.
Included is a café, lounge, beauty salon, and landscaped gardens.

Alex Whittle, senior development manager for Anchor, said: “The completion of our Sutton Coldfield development marks an exciting milestone for Anchor.
“Our aim with this site was to provide high-quality homes for older people within a peaceful yet vibrant community, and the development has delivered exactly that.
“It also supports our ambition to provide 500 new homes each year.
“We look forward to welcoming our new residents and ensuring they receive the very best service as part of our commitment to providing homes where people love living in later life.”
The work initially began in March 2024, and the first residents of Coles House and Mill Place will soon start moving in.
It comes after plans to convert a former police training centre into flats has been redrawn by Sandwell Council.
They rejected plans to convert the former West Midlands Police training centre Windmill House in Windmill Lane, Smethwick, into a huge 76-bed HMO earlier this year.
A statement included with the application said: “Following extensive review, the proposals have been comprehensively revised.
“The number of co-living rooms has been reduced from 76 to 69, allowing a substantial increase in on-site parking from 23 to 35 spaces.
“Internal layouts have been refined to improve the quality of accommodation and communal facilities, whilst external amenity has been enhanced through a redesigned first-floor roof terrace directly connected to the residents’ lounge, improved landscaped gardens and the relocation of refuse and cycle storage.”
