NewGen Dubstep Force Carré Shares New ‘Citrine’ EP | News

Carré’ continues her breakout year with new EP ‘Citrine’.

The American producer is part of a fresh wave of energy within dubstep and mutant 140 sounds, with Carré absorbing the lessons of the past to forge something new.

Opening 2026 with a killer EP on bass juggernauts Tempa, she returns to the revered imprint for a quick-fire follow-up.

Out now, ‘Citrine’ is ab absorbing four-tracker, with ‘Sense Of Place’ displaying the soundsystem audio sketching that made those early Hessle Audio releases so impactful.

Lead single ‘Spend It’ finds the producer facing off against Atlanta rapper Mercury, and it pushes Carré into a new lane.

A real highlight of the EP, Carré says –

“Following ‘Hibiscus’, I started making more music with vocal-features in mind: thinking ahead about how an arrangement might better accommodate vocals, what kind of vocal timbre would compliment the production. I discovered Mercury’s album MERCZONE and really love how relaxed she sounds while rapping over such a wide range of production styles. When I reached out to Mercury and sent over the beat I’d written for her, ‘Spend It’ was born.”

Tune in now.
