Merry Hill shopping centre skincare brand doubling in size ahead of full re-opening
Merry Hill shopping centre’s Superdrug is set for a full re-opening later in the autumn, and it’s doubling in size.
It will expand to around 19,000 sq ft when it opens in the next few weeks or months.
It follows their soft launch of their Beauty Playground on August 27, allowing shoppers to explore different brands, pick up expert advice and enjoy beauty services.

A spokesman said: “We’re thrilled that Superdrug has chosen to significantly increase its current store at Merry Hill.
“Since opening in 1989, the brand has remained incredibly popular with our visitors.
“Clearly demonstrating its confidence in the centre, Superdrug will double its existing footprint to an impressive 16,000 square foot, making it one of the largest stores in the UK.
“The new-look shop will offer an even greater range of beauty and wellbeing brands and products, as well as treatments such as ear piercing, manicures, and eyebrow threading.”
The shopping centre is also set to welcome the international brand Bath & Body Works, which is slated to open later in the year.
Located on the Lower Mall, opposite The Body Shop and Holland & Barrett, the 1,270 sq ft store will offer a wide selection of Bath & Body Works’ signature products, alongside its latest launches and seasonal collections.
Jonathan Poole, centre manager at Merry Hill, said: “As part of the ongoing improvement of Merry Hill we’re delighted to welcome another new brand; a new standalone Bath & Body Works store, giving our visitors even more choice when it comes to beauty, body care, and fragrance.
“The brand is already proving popular through its presence at NEXT here at Merry Hill, so we’re excited to give shoppers the chance to explore an even wider range of its products in its own dedicated new store.”
