The hotly-anticipated crossover G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero/Tomb Raider gets underway next month, and Skybound and Image have officially announced a selection of ‘Classic Joe’ variant covers from Chris Mooneyham which will be available across each of the five issues of the limited series from writer Kyle Higgins (Immortal Legend Batman) and artist Elena Casagrande (Black Widow) and see iconic video game heroine Lara Croft joined by fan favourite characters from the G.I. Joe Universe.
“Chris Mooneyham and Paul Pelletier have been delivering outstanding work in the record-breaking Skybound Era of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero from day one, so we’re thrilled that they were both involved in this special crossover event that nobody saw coming!” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound. “Of course, Paul drew Lara’s surprise first appearance in issue 330, and we’re thrilled to have Chris drawing this series of covers that bring Lara into the world of G.I. Joe in such an authentic way. Every time Chris turns in a piece of G.I. Joe art, I feel the need to let out a hearty YO JOE!”
