Anand Deverakonda has responded to rumours about his relationship with Vaishnavi Chaitanya.
The two actors, who are teaming up for their second film, EPIC – First Semester, have been the subject of speculation ever since they worked together in Baby.
“Since EPIC is our second film together, such rumours may have started. We are just good friends,” Anand said.
He explained that their friendship began during the shooting of Baby, which went on to become a blockbuster.
Anand also acknowledged that they share good chemistry, but said the nature of the films they have done together may have fuelled such speculation.
Anand and Vaishnavi are now awaiting the release of EPIC – First Semester, which is scheduled to hit screens on September 11.
The actor also clarified the perception surrounding the film, saying it is not as bold or adult-oriented as some people may assume.
According to Anand, EPIC is a relatable story, particularly for youngsters from simple backgrounds who move to the US, UK or other countries for studies or work.
He believes audiences who have gone through similar experiences will easily connect with the film.
