Today, electronic producer Jam City releases a new single, ‘2am’ featuring gianna.
Lifted from forthcoming album ‘My World’, out September 23rd via Earthly, ‘2AM’ is dancefloor melancholia delivered through gianna’s Delphic vocals and Jam City’s piano-folk ballad meets booming breakbeat production.
Forthcoming album ‘My World’ finds the artist – real name Jack Louis Latham – burrowing downward, ever deeper, into the dark, sticky underbelly of his singular groove. The nine-track collection is “half-remembered dream-soundtrack of suburban England on the cusp of a hedonistic weekend.”
Jam City first made his name in London’s club underground with ‘Classical Curves’ (2012), later releasing ‘Dream A Garden’ in 2015, followed by pandemic-era collection ‘Pillowland’ and the acclaimed ‘EFM’, released in 2023.
After contributing to Kelela’s mixtape ‘Cut 4 Me’, he executive produced her landmark debut LP ‘Take Me Apart’. His production credits span Troye Sivan, Joji, Lil Yachty, Kali Uchis, Bad Gyal, Perfume Genius, David Byrne, and others, including Conan Gray’s ‘Heather’ and Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Jealousy, Jealousy’.
