A much-loved Coventry sandwich shop welcomed two of Britain’s best known TV actors.
Maddy’s in Alderman’s Green was approached about hosting comedy stars and friends Will Mellor and Ralf Little as part of a new series of the pair’s show Will and Ralf Should Know Better.
This week they stopped into the shop on Jackers Road, with owner Maddy Sandhu fixing the pair and their crew bacon sarnies.

Maddy told CoventryLive the visit was prearranged.
“They called to ask if I would like to be part of the episode,” she told us. “They were lovely and really down to earth – they said I made a lovely bacon sandwich!”
Will and Ralf Should Know Better launched in 2024, with ten episodes so far across two series on U&Dave – it was recently announced a third series is due, with this Coventry visit a part of it.
It revolves around the pair’s decades-long friendship, which started after they were both in Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps.

This series will see them looking at their lives and how they’ve been shaped, of particular relevance for Mellor who turned 50 this year.
Speaking of the new series, Little, also famous for his roles in The Royle Family, said: “After more than 20 years of friendship, you’d think we’d know everything about each other by now, but series three might prove otherwise.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing what we discover, and what we wish we’d never uncovered.”
Mellor, who has had roles in shows, including Hollyoaks, Coronation Street and Mr Bates vs The Post Office, added: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be making a third series!
“Turning 50 has definitely got me thinking a bit more about who I am and where I’m heading, so it feels like the right time for me and Ralf to take a closer look at how we’re wired. Whether we actually find any answers is another matter, but I know we’ll have a laugh trying.”
The new series will air from the end of next March.
