Keerthy Suresh turned heads at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF 2026) in a contemporary Kanjivaram-inspired ensemble as her film “Dorothy” premiered to a standing ovation.
She attended the world premiere of Karthik Subbaraj’s Tamil drama in TIFF’s Centrepiece section.
The film also stars Sananth and Rishikanth and features music by Ilaiyaraaja. It is the first Tamil feature to premiere at the festival in a decade and is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 25, 2026.
For the red carpet at Scotiabank Theatre, Keerthy opted for a maroon-burgundy Kanjivaram silk look reworked into a structured contemporary outfit rather than the traditional six-yard drape. The ensemble featured a gold-brocade blouse, a flared skirt with a broad gold zari border and scattered motifs, along with a matching silk jacket-shawl draped over her shoulders.
She completed the look with a traditional gold necklace featuring a green stone drop, matching earrings and an ornate clutch, while her hair was styled into a sleek bun.
Keerthy will next be seen in Nani’s “The Paradise”, where she is making a special appearance in a song.
