Embodying southern gothic majesty and mystery, Luna and the Aether are the Ōtautahi Christchurch team of Luna Cubillana, Evan Oijordsbakken and Dave Van Eerden. Ascending to number fifteen on the Official Top 20 Aotearoa Albums chart after launching in July, Luna and the Aether’s debut album Metanoia intertwines haunting dark-folk balladry with scorching doomgaze heaviness. Painting vast sonic and emotional landscapes, both delicate and primal, Metanoia is a seven track expression of personal fortitude — “…a pilgrimage.
