New York Fashion Week is in full swing, ushering in the Spring/Summer 2027 collections — and with them, a metaphorical crystal ball about where fashion and beauty trends are headed next.

“I think people are craving hair that feels a little more polished again, but not precious,” celebrity hairstylist Clayton Hawkins tells Refinery29, citing soft layers, cropped bobs, and long hair with movement. “Hair got so textured and intentionally messy for a while, which I love too, but now I’m seeing more gloss and polish come back.” (His secret weapon?
