Charli XCX is bringing her new tour to Manchester
Charli XCX fans have fumed, calling the presale for her new tour ‘the biggest joke’ after huge queues left many unable to secure tickets.
Charli announced her UK and European tour last week, which will see her return to Manchester for the first time since headlining Parklife last year. The tour will kick off in Dublin on February 13.
The singer will head to Manchester’s Co-op Live on February 17 where she will be supported by Audrey Hobert. It will mark her second tour at the venue, following her hugely-successful and energetic BRAT tour back in 2024. She will also play London’s The O2 on February 19.

A ticket presale for the latest tour took place on Wednesday (September 16), but fans were left fuming after struggling to get tickets. Fans were able to sign up for early presale access via the singer’s website, while anyone who pre-ordered her latest album, Music, Fashion, Film, during an earlier qualifying window was given first access to the presale.
One person trying to get tickets for London’s O2 said they had 118,256 people in front of them when they joined the queue. Multiple fans expressed their shock at seeing over 120,000 people in front of them in the ticket queues when waiting rooms opened.
Those trying to buy tickets for the Co-op Live gig also faced problems, claiming that tickets were appearing on the venue map only to disappear when fans clicked through to select them. Many want-to-be concert goers said they were hit with messages saying those tickets were no longer available.
Fans took to social media to share their similar experiences, with some saying they had what they thought was a relatively low number of people ahead of them in the queue, only to be unable to purchase a ticket when they got through.
One person said they missed out despite having just 900 people ahead of them in the queue. Another wrote: “I was so confident we will get tickets, start as 7,000 in the queue. Well jokes on us”, alongside a screenshot showing no tickets left available.
One fan said: “I don’t remember the last time I was successful with Ticketmaster it’s a joke!”
However, some did see success after waiting two and a half to three hours in the presale queue. One person wrote: “Took an hour and a half but got there in the end, what a horrendous morning”.
Some also tried to advise those who had not been successful, suggesting returning to the page later on in the day as some were able to secure their seats at 3.30pm, over six hours after the sale began. However, that did not work for everyone, as many continued to refresh the page throughout the day.
Those who were unsuccessful vowed to try again, determined to get a ticket when general sale opens, with one writing: “General sale will see me coming, I will get those tickets.”
General sale for the UK and European tour dates will begin from Friday (September 18) at 9am.
