Families looking for a new game to tuck into can now save a major amount ahead of the launch of the latest Garfield game. The Monday-hating cat is being featured in his own new video game, which is set to launch on September 24.
Set to be the perfect game for younger Nintendo Switch players who already enjoy the orange cat’s shows and movies, parents can currently get their hands on the game while saving a significant amount. Argos is offering pre-orders of Garfield: Escape From Monday on the Nintendo Switch for £34.99.

Garfield: Escape From Monday throws the titular orange cat into a brand new whacky adventure, which will see players navigate through Garfield’s largest nightmares. Falling into a deep sleep after accidentally eating a vegetable, Garlfield must navigate through a variety of worlds filled with enemies.
Players will have the ability to take direct control of Garfield as he jumps, climbs walls, and curls into a ball to navigate different areas. Better yet, he will be capable of transforming into various forms with different abilities, such as a turkey with the ability to fly.
However, if you want something a little different for your child, you could opt to grab Pokémon Pokopia, which is discounted on Amazon from £59.99 to £54.95. This cosy Pokémon game lets you take on the role of a Ditto who is tasked with reshaping an island with the help of many other Pokémon visitors.
Otherwise, you could snap up Donkey Kong Bananza, which is available for £49.99. This game features a new Donkey Kong adventure as players help him make his way through an underground world.
In describing the latest Garfield game, Argos notes: “Garfield may be right not to trust vegetables. When you’re a lazy cat spending most of your time sleeping, having a nightmare can happen. But a nightmare full of vegetables and sugar-free candies, no way!
“After Jon fed him spinach lasagna inspired by Chef Monday’s recipe, Garfield falls into a deep sleep.. . To wake up and reactivate his taste buds, the laziest cat in the world will have to explore worlds filled with enemies and eat a gigantic deal of lasagnas!”
