Shopping experts have explained how to get the bonuses

With fewer than 100 days to Christmas, UK shoppers are being urged to sign up to a range of supermarlet schemes now with the potential of landing free cash ahead of the big event. Supermarket Christmas savings schemes are already rolling out – allowing you to put aside money for the festive season and see the totals topped up by up to £15.
Deals are in place with shops including Iceland, Asda, Co-op and Tesco. Shoppers who start now can access bonuses to stretch their festive food budget even further.
Ben Smye, deals expert at Hotukdeals, said: “With families facing another expensive winter, these savings schemes are becoming a quiet favourite among savvy shoppers. Using loyalty schemes is one of the simplest ways to get a little extra back on money you were going to spend anyway.“It’s best to save all year, but it’s not too late to start a pot now and grow a cashback bonus. If you’re already planning a big Christmas shop, it’s an easy win.”
Several supermarkets have changed their offers for 2026, and some, like Sainsbury’s, have paused their Christmas bonuses entirely according to Ben. He has put together a guide to some of the deals now on offer/
Iceland
You can put £100 in a savings pot and Iceland will add money to what you have set aside.
Iceland’s Christmas bonus offer is the easiest to achieve and one of the most generous. Top up £100 in your savings pot by November to get an extra £15.
Asda – Christmas Savings Card
Asda’s long‑running Christmas Savings Card is back for 2026. Load money and receive a £15 bonus when you save £280 or more before the cut‑off date.For 2026, you need to have saved £30 or more on your card by 5pm on Sunday, November 15, 2026 to qualify for any bonus. Your bonus reward will be loaded on to the card by 9am on Monday, November 16, 2026.
Tesco – Clubcard Christmas Savers
Tesco is running its Christmas Savers programme again, allowing Clubcard members to save vouchers and top up with cash ahead of the festive season. The 2026 bonus maxes out at £12 if you top up £200–£360.
Co‑op – Savings Stamps
Co‑op’s simple stamp booklet remains unchanged. Buy £48 worth of £1 stamps throughout the year and you’ll get £50 to spend in December, giving you a £2 (4%) boost. Partially completed or partially redeemed books do not qualify for the £2 bonus but the cash value can still be spent.
Hotdeals says several supermarkets that previously offered generous Christmas bonuses have paused their schemes for 2026.
Sainsbury’s has discontinued its Christmas Club Card, and the Morrisons’ Christmas Savers Stamp scheme has been axed after 14 years. A spokesperson for Morrisons’ said the store will instead “focus on improving personalised offers and enhancing the overall More Card experience.”
Neither Lidl nor Aldi runs a formal Christmas savings scheme, but both typically offer seasonal spend‑and‑save vouchers, such as 10% off your next shop when you hit a minimum spend. These tend to appear closer to December.
Ben added: “The growing cost of the ‘big shop’ is on everyone’s mind all year, but at Christmas the pressure feels even greater. With a bit of forward planning, savings schemes are a great way to budget and spread the cost throughout the year. December can be so expensive, so planning ahead and putting money aside is a good idea anyway, with the bonus a nice reward on top.”
