Ahead of its world premiere at the Sitges Film Festival this October, Prime Video has released a teaser trailer for Apocalypse Z: New World, the upcoming sequel to the 2024 Spanish zombie action thriller Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End.
Based on the Apocalypse Z novel series by author Manel Loureiro, the film sees Carles Torrens return to direct the sequel, which features a cast that includes Carlos Alcaide, Julia Martínez, Mónica López, Tamara Casellas, Santiago Vaca Narvaja, Jose María Yazpik, Berta Vázquez, Axel Medrano, Pedro Hernández, Javier Godino, Ujin Moreno and Mario Mayo. The story takes us to the Canary Islands, which have become Europe’s last refuge following the outbreak of the TSJ virus. When a special mission sets out for the mainland in search of vital supplies, Roberto joins the team with questionable intentions. The dangerous operation turns into a desperate race for survival, and Roberto and his companions find themselves caught between hordes of infected and divided loyalties.
