New York Giants fans were probably hoping to catch a break after their quarterback, Jaxson Dart, went down with a knee injury during Monday Night Football on Monday (September 21) while playing the Los Angeles Rams.

NFL insider Adam Schefter posted an update on social media that said his injury is worse than initially thought.

Rumors were circulating last night that perhaps he had sprained his MCL in his knee. Now, it looks like the injury could have season-ending repercussions.

Jaxson Dart might have season-ending knee surgery

Adam Schefter posted on X, “Breaking: Further testing today revealed Giants QB Jaxson Dart’s knee injury is worse than initially thought, and the team and Dart now are facing the possibility of season-ending knee surgery, sources tell ESPN. Of all the QB injuries suffered in Week 2, Dart’s is turning out to easily be the most significant.”

After the injury, Jaxson was seen standing on the sidelines for some of the game.

The team has not announced what will happen at quarterback. Jameis Winston is the backup.
