Twilight star Taylor Lautner and his wife Tay have become parents for the first time, welcoming a baby girl with a unique name via an Instagram announcement

Taylor Lautner, star of supernatural film franchise Twilight, has welcomed his first child. The actor and his wife, Tay, revealed on Instagram that their daughter was born on 16 September.
Taylor, 34, and Tay, 29, shared the news with the public a week after their daughter was born. In the post, one half of the baby could be seen lying on a pink blanket with an embroidered picture next to her which read out her name, Lennon Taylor Lautner. In the caption, new mum Tay wrote: “One week loving our sweet little Lenny. Lennon Taylor Lautner, 9.16.2026”
Lots of celebrities jumped in the comments to congratulate the couple, including fellow Twilight actress Nikki Reed, who said: “Oh be still my heart. Congratulations to you both, I’m so so happy for you. Baby Lenny, Auntie Nik is ready to give you all the snuggles.”
Mackenzie Foy, who played Bella and Edward’s daughter Renesmee in Twilight, added: “Congratulations guys!!” And Christina Perri, whose song A Thousand Years was made for the Twilight soundtrack, said: “Ahhhh congrats!!!!!!!”
The Lautners first announced that they were expecting their first child together back in March via an Instagram post, in which Taylor kissed Tay’s stomach as she held up a scan. Other photos included the two dancing in a meadow and laughing as they posed for pics. In the caption, Taylor asked: “What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?”
They kept fans updated with baby news throughout Tay’s pregnancy. There was a post shared on Mother’s Day, where Taylor said that his wife of four years was a “real hero” and that he couldn’t wait to celebrate Mother’s Day “every single day from here forward”. Tay, a registered nurse, also shared their gender reveal on Instagram, revealing that they were having a daughter.
Taylor is best known for playing werewolf Jacob Black in Twilight, a childhood friend and secondary love interest for Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan. Taylor has also been in films such as Valentine’s Day, alongside Taylor Swift, who he later starred in the I Can See You music video for. On television, Taylor could be seen in BBC sitcom Cuckoo and comedy series Scream Queens.
Taylor and Tay have been together since 2018 and married in November 2022 in California. Together, the two host a mental health and wellbeing podcast called The Squeeze.
Due to the popularity of Twilight and Taylor’s character Jacob, fans have long been interested in who Taylor is in a relationship with. Prior to Tay, he dated Taylor Swift for a few months in 2009 and her song Back To December is thought to be about their break up. Taylor Swift has since married NFL star Travis Kelce.
The star also dated actress Lily Collins after staring in Abduction with her, and they were together for 10 months. From 2013 to 2015, he was in a relationship with his Tracers co-star Marie Avgeropoulos and he was in a relationship with fellow Scream Queens star Billie Lourd from December 2016 to July 2017.
