Magic is set to return to the big screen in 2027 as acclaimed filmmaker Greta Gerwig brings C. S. Lewis’s beloved world of Narnia to life with Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew.
Based on Lewis’s iconic novel, the highly anticipated fantasy adaptation follows the global success of Gerwig’s Barbie. The film is expected to introduce a new generation of audiences to the magical world created by Lewis.
Following the unveiling of the film’s motion logo last week, the makers have now released a new set of behind-the-scenes photos from the production. The images offer an early glimpse into the filmmaking process and the visual world Gerwig is creating for the adaptation.
The newly released pictures provide a closer look at the production while offering fans an early taste of the film’s aesthetic. The project is among the most anticipated fantasy adaptations currently in production.
Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew features newcomers David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell alongside Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Daniel Craig and Meryl Streep, among others.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on February 12, 2027, before arriving on Netflix on April 2, 2027. Sony Pictures Releasing International is distributing the film.
