Samsung And LG Accused Of Paying Lower Duty On OLED TV Parts In India

The report said that the issue is related to imported OLED glass screens, also known as open cells, which are used to make TV display panels. As per government authorities, these components should attract a 15 per cent import duty. However, Samsung and LG are alleged to have claimed a concessional 5 per cent duty, a rate that is meant for parts used in older LCD and LED display technologies.
