Cleaning our homes in the autumn and winter can become a little more demanding so being armed with the right equipment can help make chores much easier. Muddy footprints, dust and pet hair can quickly build up, but for anyone planning a cleaning reset, a cordless vacuum cleaner can be a useful addition to the home.
The MOVA G70 Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner is currently listed at Yimbly, an online retailer owned by this publication’s parent company Reach Plc for £149 down from £269. This already undercuts the price of several retailers such as Currys, but the code AUTUMN10 makes it even cheaper at £134.10.
The G70 is designed with a 225AW suction, alongside a multi-surface brush intended for both hard floors and carpets. It is suited for all kinds of space and mess, from crumbs to everyday dust, hair, and dirt in high-traffic areas.
It also boasts Optilnsight Illumination technlogy, which shines light across the floor to reveal grime that might otherwise be difficult to spot. MOVA state this feature is particularly useful for exposing fine dust in dark corners.
Anyone with long hair or pets will know that vacuuming can sometimes be followed by another job – removing hair from the brush roller. The G70 uses Dual-Direction Dust Scraper Rings, with anti-tangle features to help prevent hair from wrapping around the brush.

A six segment telescopic wand can be adjusted to different lengths and used to reach beneath furniture. The vacuum has a run time of up to 90 minutes and a five-layer filtration system with MOVA claiming efficiency of up to 99.9%.
The gadget is currently unavailable at Amazon and the best deal we are able to find is at Yimbly, however, there are a number of glowing reviews through Amazon from people who have previously bought it. One person compared it to a Dyson, writing: “Had a Dyson Gen5 before then I bought this one for a fraction of the money.
“The device is easy to empty and reassemble – absolutely easy to use. People who need something useful for less money, please use this one. The carpet brush even works on my carpet. That was my game changer right away.”
Shoppers can still save money off a Dyson, getting the Cyclone V10 for £299 down from £449 at Currys. Designed for pet owners and allergy sufferers, it weighs 2.67kg so is a much lighter option than MOVA at 7.7kg.
This may be a sticking point for some with one MOVA customer sharing: “Good vacuum cleaner, unfortunately a bit too heavy.” A further lightweight option is the Vax Homepro Plus Cordless Vacuum Cleaner at 3.5kg. It’s on sale for £129.99 down from £289.99 and has a running time of 45 minutes.
Another person found no flaws with the MOVA G70, calling the gadget the ‘ultimate cordless vacuum cleaner for a perfect cleaning experience’. A five star reviewer wrote: “The suction power and ease of use enable flawless cleaning of the entire apartment. In my case, the battery life is more than sufficient and is also quickly recharged should things get more intense. The laser helps to recognise any dirt even in daylight.”
Someone else explained: “Very strong suction power with lots of well-thought-out accessories, pleasant weight and reasonable battery makes the G70 a price-performance winner that established brands in this segment must be wary of.”
And a final buyer shared: “For me, the best thing is the amount of accessories it comes with. My house has a lot of nooks and crannies and I needed a product with different head sizes, and this one is perfect.
