Fahadh Faasil is playing the lead in “Don’t Trouble The Trouble”, produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and SS Karthikeya under Arka Media Works and Showing Business. Directed by Shashank Yeleti, the film is slated for release on October 2.
Fahadh recently interacted with the media and spoke about the film, the challenges of working in Telugu and his experience dubbing for the character.
What made you choose Don’t Trouble The Trouble?
“Karthikeya called me and told me about ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’. Later, Shashank came and narrated the story. I had never heard a story like this in my life. I liked it immediately and decided that I had to do the film.
“There are many elements in ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’, including love, affection and relationships. Magic is just one aspect of the film. There are many deeper themes and emotions in the story. I believe it will be a film that makes many things understandable to audiences.”
What challenges did you face while working on the film?
“Understanding the story in Malayalam, learning the dialogues, converting them into English and then performing in Telugu was challenging for me. It was difficult at times, but I really enjoyed the journey.
“Rajamouli Garu watched some scenes from our film and gave us his suggestions. After watching the final product, he was happy with it.”
Did you learn to speak Telugu?
“I have been living here for the past year and a half and have made many friends. I have picked up a little Telugu. Next time, I will speak it completely. However, I dubbed for my character in Telugu myself in this film.”
